Orange & Almond Day

My Moo cards came finally despite the troubled Royal Mail situation! I am pleased with them and have already given out a few. Now I just have to list more items in my etsy shop and I can get the cards global! I'm so thrilled that my first 2 items on etsy (my new store - SheFeltAltered ) sold so fast! Wowee I have to get my skates on and replenish the shelves!

I've also neglected visiting this blog a little and was so happy today to see lovely people have commented on my first ever blog... I will say hi to you just as soon as I have done here today.

Orange and Almond is my theme for the day, not just because I have just polished off the remains of my first attempt at Orange & Almond meal cake but because it's autumn and the colours where I live are just delicious. Walking Duke (my particularly perky papillion) close to our home I felt sure tonight was a night for hot bath, a nice cup of tea or two and a good book - Tell No One by Harlan Coben is my latest bedside choice. It's the orange in the air that makes me feel that way! The glow from street lights that make me feel secure but in the same breath frustrate me so much that I cannot see the stars at night. The way the normally green grass has turned into a bright orange streak against the blue black path as if picking up reflections from the sunset or some slightly kooky gardener has dyed it that way! Leaves on the trees suggesting it will soon be time for little creatures to snuggle up and hibernate. I spotted my empty Bundaberg Root Beer bottles when I got home... with their fabulous labels - such a great colour. I'll figure out a way to remove them and use them in a collage.

Not sure when I'll get to update SheFeltAltered.etsy.com or do any altered art - here's a sneaky peek though at what I'm working on at the moment for a halloween costume:
It's not quite the kind of art I need to be doing but at least I'm doing something with my hands and it's pleasing to the eye!
